Pierre Pasler

Pierre Pasler war bereits bei zahlreichen nationalen wie auch internationalen Filmprojekten für die Kameraführung verantwortlich. Er fühlt sich sowohl im dokumentarischen Genre (preisgekrönte Filme wie "Green Field Journey", "Mumbai Masala" oder aktuelle Produktionen wie "Pupils and Masters") als auch im fiktionalen Bereich zu Hause. So gestaltete er die Bilder bei Spielfilmen wie dem indisch-tibetischen Film "We are no monks", der vom 14. Dalai Lama unterstützt wurde, dem Episodenfilm "GG 19" oder dem deutsch-türkischen Spielfilm "Katrins Jihad". Pierre ist durch mehrjährige Dreherfahrung auf das Arbeiten in Südostasien spezialisiert und hat beste Kontakte zur Hindi-Filmbranche in Bombay. Sein bemerkenswerter Kamerastil trug ihm verschiedene Einladungen zu Filmfestivals ein, deren Fokus auf der "Kunst der Kameraarbeit" liegt. Sein Credo lautet: Interessiere dich nicht nur für Film, interessiere dich auch für das Leben. (Kameramann Haskell Wexler)



Pierre bietet als geschulter Polecam Owner / Operator das gewisse Etwas für den Dreh mit Hilfe eines speziellen Leichtkrans. Die Polecam ist wohl der leichteste und mobilste 6m Kamerakran der Welt.

Pierre Pasler has worked as a cinematographer for several German and international film productions. He feels at home in the documentary film scene (awarded works like "Green Field Journey", "Mumbai Masala", or recent feature length documentaries like "Pupils and Masters") as well as in the fiction genre. As Director of Photography he was in charge for independent feature films like "We are no monks" (supported by H.H. XIV. Dalai Lama), the episodic film "GG 19" or the German-Turkish feature film "Katrins Jihad". He is specialized in shooting in Asia with close contacts to the Hindi film branch in Bombay. For his outstanding style in cinematography he was invited to major film festivals. His motto is: Don't be interested in film only, but in life as well (DoP Haskell Wexler).
